In this episode, I highlight how Periscope was emerging as the powerhouse of live streaming in 2016. If you have never heard of Periscope it’s like a TV channel for an individual broadcaster. Facebook Live was rumored but yet to emerge so last year, Periscope really didn’t have much competition. This was especially true as Meerkat was in sharp decline. I found that small brands and personal brand marketers were growing excellent audiences using the app.
